Duke seniors Matt Danowski and Zack Greer were two of the five finalists for the Tewaraaton Trophy, college lacrosse’s equivalent of the Heisman Trophy. Danowski, the 2007 winner, is the NCAA’s all-time leading scorer, and Greer is the NCAA’s all-time leading goal scorer. Neither of them won.

Lewis, Wright Hit With Citations

The News & Observer reports that junior quarterback Thaddeus Lewis and junior cornerback Leon Wright, both 20, were both cited for underage possession of alcohol early Wednesday morning on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill. Both players registered a .03 when they were breathalyzed.

The search for Duke’s next athletic director is “well underway” and the committee plans on making its recommendations to President Richard Brodhead in June, vice-chair Richard Riddell told The Chronicle Thursday.
