Duke Students’ apathy toward the football team has been well documented, especially this week with the cancellation of the traditional student Tailgate. With no on campus option set for this weekend, it appears most students have opted not to come to Wallace Wade Stadium.
It’s hard to place all the blame for the lack of support on the students, though—no one else has shown up so far either.
UPDATE: More fans had made it to Wallace Wade by the end of the first quarter. Still not many students.
I think our poor pouting spoiled Dookies shoud be so proud of themselves, for punishing our dedicated, hard working football players just because they (the party animals) can’t get hammered to the sound loud music any more. Who knows, if the stands had been full of supporters, perhaps we could have won that game. Shame shame shame!
