This afternoon, a new twist emerged in the story about the Cameron Crazies’ alleged chants at Tyler Lewis. At some point this afternoon, a petition appeared on the official White House website asking the administration to classify Duke’s student fans as terrorists. The petition reads as follows:
While Duke’s student body is made up of many future leaders of our fine country, there is a small contingent that is waging a war against all that is good in our glorious land. The extremist faction of students known as the “Cameron Crazies” publicly organize in crowds topping 5,000 sometimes with the sole mission of verbal and mental harassment of student athletes. While tolerated, and sometimes even praised, in the past, the time has come to put an end to it. During last night’s competition between the men’s basketball team’s [sic] of NC State and Duke, these extremists chanted “How’s your grandma” to a grieving 18 year old while he competed during the second shot of a free throw visit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=hZ9O2KOwjOk
This aggression will not stand, man”
At the time of this writing, the petition has 29 signatures, with just 99,971 left to reach its goal of 100,000 by March 10.
These people have lost their freaking minds! The Chant was “Past your Bedtime” Because Tyler Lewis looks about 13!!!! The Cameron Crazie Student section is one of the finest in the land and are very dedicated to the Duke Blue Devils! They would have NEVER chanted something so hurtful! Stop hating on Duke people and worry about these maniacs with assault rifles running around instead of a student section
People are crazy! The yelling was “Past your bedtime!” If the students had been yelling what others are accusing them of doing, Coach Krzyzewski would have called a time-out and gotten a microphone and told those students to leave Cameron. I have personally seen him do similar things in the past 30+ years of his coaching career!

Reading this petition leads me to ask “Who are the real crazies?” This is beyond ridiculous.
Are they serious? What does the Cameron Crazies have to do with terrorism? I couldn’t believe it when I read this. This is out of control and uncalled for.
Ok. I don’t know who started this or what. This is madness! The cameron crazies are a big reason Duke plays so we’ll at home. As a basketball player, when you are playing and your cried is loud and being crazy it helps you get jacked and play better. Our government is full of loose assholes who have no sense of humor and don’t appreciate true fans who are faithful to their teams. I have seen student sections say worse things to players. You guys are pathetic!
