Cutcliffe Surfaces in Rumor Mill

by Alex Fanaroff on January 13, 2010

With the news that Tennessee football coach Lane Kiffin is bolting for USC, you had to believe that former Vols offensive coordinator (and curent Duke head coach) David Cutcliffe’s name would surface in rumors.

Jon Scheyer Keeps Assist-to-Turnover Ratio Up

by Taylor Doherty on December 18, 2009

After a 80-74 loss against Boston College last season, head coach Mike Krzyzewski knew that it was time to shake things up. In a piece for Sports Illustrated, college basketball analyst and former Chronicle writer Seth Davis called social networking the “worst innovation” of the decade for college hoops:

by Taylor Doherty on May 7, 2009

UPDATE, 7:30 p.m. FRIDAY: Just heard from Associate Director of Sports Information Matt Plizga that J.J. Redick does not have a Twitter account as previously stated in this post.  The Chronicle’s Sports Blog regrets the error. Still, that doesn’t mean that the guard’s play as of late has not been good. Look for Redick to contribute tonight against the [...]

Mike Krzyzewski, despite an imposter account, hasn’t made it onto Twitter yet, but his associate head coaches are picking up the slack.
Steve Wojciechowski (@steve_wojo) and Chris Collins (@coach_collins) are two of the latest coaches to join this fad craze, and they’re far from the only tweeting coaches on campus. David Cutcliffe (@davidcutcliffe) has been texting [...]

The league, which describes itself as “a 12-member athletics conference” in its biography, [...]

The Twitterati Hunt For a Win

by Ben Cohen on March 2, 2009

Maybe it was the rain, maybe it was the weekend, but for some reason, the Twitterati weren’t so active during Duke’s 72-65 win over Virginia Tech Saturday. Then again, it’s Virginia Tech and not Maryland or North Carolina. The best of the best:

For what it’s worth, Gerald Henderson and Mike Krzyzewski seemed equally baffled by [...]
